Leadership standards formally introduced to the regions
Three batches of the national training of trainers (NTOT) and orientation activities on the Philippine Professional Standards for School Heads (PPSSH) and the Philippine Professional Standards for Supervisors (PPSS) were held in November 2019 introducing the standards to offices from the DepEd central office as well as seven (7) DepEd regions.
RCTQ assisted the Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD) in the conduct of the clustered training/orientation activities.
The series of NTOT and orientation activities aimed to formally introduce the PPSSH and the PPSS to the DepEd central, regional and schools division offices; train key personnel in the regional and schools division offices on the leadership standards; and ensure accurate understanding and usage of the standards across all DepEd regions.
The first batch, held in Tagaytay City on 5-7 November 2019, was attended by representatives from the central office including the Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD) and the National Educators Academy of the Philippines, and the regional HRDD chiefs and representatives from all regions.
The next group to undergo the training/orientation were the 51 schools division offices belonging to Region 1, Region 2, Region 3 and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). It was held in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija on 12-14 November 2019.
Fifty two (52) schools divisions from Region 6, Region 7 and Region 8 converged in Cebu City on 26-28 November 2019 for another batch of training/orientation.
More clustered training/orientation will take place in the succeeding months for the rest of the DepEd regions.
