RITQ helped facilitate a writeshop on the enhancement of the Induction Program for Beginning Teachers, held from 9–13 September 2024 at the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) in Marikina.

The activity was aimed at reviewing and improving the existing Teacher Induction Program (TIP) implementing guidelines and coursebook.

Facilitated by the RITQ team, led by Dr. Maria Teresa A. Manicio, Senior Program Manager and incoming Deputy Director, the writeshop focused on identifying the appropriate lesson design, content, professional learning topics, and the scope and sequence of the TIP coursebook. The participants also discussed the results of the program’s evaluation, consolidating and analyzing outputs to improve its implementation.

In collaboration with NEAP, RITQ provided support in developing the tools and materials necessary for the induction activities. RITQ assisted NEAP and the Teacher Education Council (TEC) in 2020-2021 for the development of induction courses for newly-hired teachers as part of the enhanced TIP. (RITQ Communications)
