RITQ senior program manager (SPM) and incoming director Dr. Brando Palomar shared insights on the features of the MATATAG curriculum, Science of Learning, and collaborative expertise practices as resource speaker of the first part of the orientation on the MATATAG curriculum for teacher education institutions (TEIs) on 11 September 2024.

The virtual event was part of the National Teachers Month 2024 celebration jointly organized by the Teacher Education Council (TEC) and the Philippine Normal University (PNU).

RITQ supports DepEd in the implementation of the MATATAG Curriculum. More particularly, RITQ facilitates the development of the learning resources – integrating the Science of Learning principles. In addition, RITQ explores and documents teachers’ best practices and challenges on the pilot implementation of the curriculum. These understandings and experiences allow the institute to provide empirical evidence and products that will assist teachers and school heads in addressing their concerns and in enhancing collective teachers efficacy.
